Randy Brown Who’s Next

“Rude Boy” Randy Brown earned an impressive unanimous decision victory over Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos 29-28 on all scorecards. In his post fight time, Brown called out Geoff Neal, saying he thinks he could knock him out early. I like that fight as an option, but I think there is a better fight to be made. Our best “who’s next” would be Joaquin “New Mansa” Buckley. Buckley is on a 4 fight win streak, stomping up the rankings in the Welterweight division. Not only are the two on the same kind of recovery timeline, they would square up in the octagon great against each other. The two fighters have similar styles, and ability which in my opinion, would make this fight very fun. Brown is 19-5 in his career, 13-5 in the UFC. Buckley is 19-6 in his career, 13-4 in the UFC. No crazy reach advantages, just film, camp, and violence. Maybe, just Maybe, that is Randy Brown’s next fight, and his path to a Welterweight ranking.
